Welcome to Further Than Free.
Based in Hebden Bridge, we provide outdoor play and adventure experiences for children and young adults.
We won’t apologise for dirty clothes.
We teach kids how to embrace getting messy, how to rip their trousers and get mud in their hair, feel the wind fighting at their ankles, to stink of smoking fires and find grass in their socks.
We base our sessions on play, no matter what we’re doing. Everything can be turned into a game, and we think this is fundamental to learning.
Our Goal:
It’s pretty simple, we want children and young people to enjoy being outdoors as much as we do, Sunday mornings should consist of the embarkment of an adventure, not a loading screen.
Everyone needs to know that they can learn through freedom, fun and exploration, not just deskwork.
